PUBLIC RELATIONS: Adjunct / Substitute Non-Classroom Instructor POOL (college credit) San Diego Community College District – District Wide. Position Type: Adjunct. Responsibilities Maintain live game statistics via computer-based code entry for all plays (800-1000 keystrokes per basketball game; 13 sports, 150-200 home contests). Design, update, and consult on all webpage tasks at Capture team photos and individual portraits, creating individualized profiles and interviews. Create and maintain athletes and team archives/history. Produce videos for advertising teams. Manage social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram) for the sports program and integrate with instructional course info and non-athletic SD City activities. Act as liaison and coordinator with local media and neighboring colleges. Provide contact assistance to 4-year universities to promote recruitment and transfer of student athletes. Distribute news and bulletins to campus. Handle compliance activities related to rules and statistical analysis. Participate as a member of conference SID group for alignment. Assist students in promoting them to 4-year universities. Serve as designee for game administration/observer when Athletic Director is split between locations, generally functioning as an assistant athletic director. Cover 4-5 separate games in a single day when needed. Maintain knowledge of all 13 sports teams’ requirements. Attend all Athletics-related meetings and select away contests as needed. Qualifications Degrees must be from regionally accredited institutions. Minimum qualification: Bachelor’s degree and at least two (2) years of professional experience , or Associate degree and at least six (6) years of professional experience , or equivalent. Extended knowledge in Health, Exercise Science, and an emphasis in Intercollegiate Athletics. Foreign degree holders must have coursework evaluated by a professional association (e.g., NACES or ACEI) and submit an original evaluation at the time of hire.
