With a strong commitment to excellence and innovation, we are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our dynamic finance team.

The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for managing and processing all aspects of the accounts payable cycle. This role requires a meticulous individual with strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in accounts payable within the construction industry and a solid understanding of accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and manage all accounts payable transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Review and verify invoices and payment requests, including matching purchase orders, receiving documents, and vendor statements.
• Enter and maintain accurate data in the accounting system, ensuring timely and accurate payment processing.
• Reconcile vendor accounts and resolve any discrepancies or issues in a timely manner.
• Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date and manage any past due accounts.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date accounts payable files and records.
• Assist with month-end closing activities and provide support for audits as needed.
• Collaborate with internal departments and vendors to address and resolve any inquiries or issues.
• Continuously seek opportunities to improve accounts payable processes and procedures.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
• Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or in a similar role, preferably within the construction industry.
• Comprehensive experience in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Strong understanding of accounts payable principles and practices, including job costing and coding.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with a high level of attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.

Our corporate office is located in Albuquerque, NM. However, jobs are located throughout Southeast New Mexico and West Texas. Your home base is less important than your ability to travel to multiple project locations.
