Registered Nurse (RN) PACU – Post Anesthesia Care Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) PACU – Post Anesthesia Care Location: Valley Park, Missouri Employment Type: Staff, Ongoing Job ID 107379 Role Purpose Provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within the guidelines of the standards of nursing care. Responsibilities Promotes patient and family centered care in a healing environment. Educates patients and their families on post‑treatment home care and medication administration. Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Participates in professional development. Develops, implements, and documents individual plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team, the patient, and their family or caregiver. Proactively plans and ensures communication of the plan of care across the continuum of care. Uses critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs according to standards of care. Assesses patient preferences and barriers to involvement in care, including values, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and population‑specific needs. Maintains constant state of alertness and safety as this is a safety‑sensitive position. Minimum Requirements Education: Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing. Experience: None required. Licenses & Certifications: Current RN license. Preferred Requirements Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. Experience: Less than 2 years in a relevant clinical setting. Experience with critical or procedural nursing preferred. Critical care or procedural experience preferred.
