Clinical Nurse GYN Oncology - $32-48 per hour

Job Overview Registered Nurse (RN) Oncology – Valley Park, Missouri. BJC HealthCare is seeking an RN to provide oncology care to female patients in a 30‑bed unit focused on GYN oncology, including chemotherapy, surgery, radiation, symptom management, pain management, palliative care, and hospice care. The unit delivers moderate to high acuity and high‑complexity interventions and is coordinated by a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities Provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within the guidelines of nursing care standards. Promotes patient and family‑centered care in a healing environment. Educates patients and families on illness or injury management, post‑treatment home‑care needs, and medication administration. Participates in patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance activities. Participates in professional development. Develops, implements, and documents individual plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with interprofessional team members and patients, families or caregivers. Proactively plans and ensures communication of the plan of care across the continuum of care. Uses critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs according to standards of care. Assesses patient preferences and barriers to involvement in care, including values, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and population‑specific needs. Maintains a constant state of alertness and works safely; this is a safety‑sensitive position. Minimum Requirements Education: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s Degree in Nursing. Licensure: Current RN license. Experience: No experience required. Preferred Requirements Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. Experience: Less than 2 years (not required).
