Human Resources Coordinator

The primary focus of the Human Resources Coordinator is to provide value added administrative support to the activities of the human resources function. This administrative role will support the human resources team by fulfilling a host of administrative and clerical duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Prepare, process and enter new hire documentation. Perform customer service functions by appropriately responding to employee requests and inquiries. Play a lead role in new employee onboarding process by partnering with recruitment staff and hiring manager to ensure best in class new hire experience. Create and maintain active and terminated electronic and physical Employee Personnel and Contractor files. Oversee the maintenance of personnel records in accordance with company/contract standards and corporate policies and procedures. This includes required background checks to include but not limited to, criminal, driver’s license, education and credentials. Provide administrative support to HR department and process monthly vendor invoices. Complete Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files. Processes new hires/rehires/interns/volunteers through various clearance houses, follow-up with results, and demonstrates an in-depth knowledge of the requirements & conducts employee verifications. For system access, responsible for notifying Information Technology when a person is joining the Agency to include the applications required. Creates and maintains records of personnel transaction such as new hires, promotions, transfers, terminations, and other employee related matters in the HRIS system. Acts as internal HRIS expert and completes special HRIS related projects as necessary. Verifies each person possess the minimum credentials for the position the incumbent will be occupying (meeting the Primary Source and Secondary Source Verification). Active participant in any HR sponsored events or programs, for example employee recognition events, HR meetings. Assists HR Generalists in managing the Company’s Internship Program(s) Provide HR system training as necessary and perform all other duties as assigned. Maintains confidential information regarding personnel such as data and special cases. Back up duties for HR assistant. All other duties as assigned. JOB QUALIFICATIONS Education: High School Diploma required. Associates degree or higher preferred Experience: Minimum two years of administrative support work experience.
