Kitchen Manager

Overview

The Kitchen Manager leads daily back-of-house operations of our fast‑casual café, ensuring consistent food quality, efficient execution, and strong cost control from open to close. This role oversees our retail kitchen production, supports the culinary team across shifts, and upholds high standards for food safety, cleanliness, and consistency. The Kitchen Manager is responsible for training and developing the kitchen team, managing prep and service flow, monitoring food and labor costs, and ensuring recipes are executed accurately. This is a hands-on leadership role essential to delivering great food and a smooth, reliable café operation each day

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, schedule and coach BOH teams; uphold service and sanitation standards. 
• Manage inventory, ordering, vendor relations, and cost controls (COGS, waste). 
• Maintain preventive maintenance schedules and equipment readiness. 
• Analyze sales, labor, and product mix; implement improvements and training. 
• Ensure DOH compliance 

Qualifications

• 2+ years in restaurant/hotel leadership with team management responsibilities. 
• Proficiency with scheduling, inventory systems, and cost controls. 
• Demonstrated success in training and performance management. 
• Working knowledge of DOH rules and sanitation practices 
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills 
• Availability across nights, weekends, and holidays
