Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients by reviewing medical histories, performing detailed assessments, and identifying treatment goals.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and patient education.

• Regularly monitor and document patient progress, modifying treatment plans as necessary based on their evolving needs and response to therapy.

• Consult with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care, offering recommendations for additional medical or rehabilitation services where appropriate.

• Communicate openly and respectfully with colleagues, physicians, patients, and their families, fostering a team-oriented environment.

• Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to maintain compliance with state, local, and federal regulations.

• Document all patient interactions, including evaluations, treatment sessions, and discharge planning, adhering to established protocols and standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist in our orthopedic outpatient unit, you will work with a diverse patient population dealing with various orthopedic conditions such as post-operative recovery, sports injuries, chronic pain, and joint dysfunction. Your ability to develop meaningful therapeutic relationships and provide evidence-based interventions will be vital in helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required; preferences may be given to candidates with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT).

• Active licensure as required in the State of Florida.

• Current certification in BLS for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association.

Preferred Experience

Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in a physical therapy setting, preferably within orthopedic outpatient care. Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities, treatment protocols, and electronic medical records (EMR) systems will enhance your contribution to our team.
