Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual, couples, and family therapy sessions, using various therapeutic modalities tailored to client needs.

• Perform comprehensive intake assessments to understand clients’ emotional and relational dynamics, and establish clear therapeutic goals.

• Maintain detailed clinical documentation in accordance with state regulations and HIPAA compliance, ensuring records are current and accessible.

• Attend regular team meetings and case consults for ongoing professional development and supervision, ensuring adherence to best practices in mental health care.

• Engage in community outreach initiatives aimed at increasing mental health resource awareness and reducing stigma, collaborating with local organizations.

• Provide timely and effective crisis intervention, utilizing evidence-based techniques to address urgent scenarios as they arise.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on supporting a diverse client population, which includes individuals and families dealing with trauma, relationship issues, and navigating significant life transitions. Your work may encompass providing counseling to survivors of trauma, facilitating relationship counseling for couples, and employing therapeutic strategies for families in distress. You will play a critical role in helping clients develop skills necessary for emotional resilience and healthier interpersonal relationships.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy is a necessary qualification.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT in the state of Virginia is required.
