Director Of Sales And Marketing
Corporate IT Systems Limited (CITSL) and Force Information Systems (FIS), two Harris Computer companies, are seeking an experienced Director of Sales and Marketing to build and establish the sales and marketing function in these businesses. With a focus on professional standards, the ideal candidate will have experience with public-sector procurement practices and, ideally, a background in a relevant market.
The Director of Sales and Marketing is responsible for leading the BUs sales and marketing strategy, driving revenue growth and building a high-performing sales and marketing organization by aligning sales execution with marketing initiatives. This role oversees all sales and marketing functions, ensuring a cohesive approach to brand positioning, demand generation, customer acquisition, and revenue growth, including business development, account management, and sales operations, and aligning with overall business objectives.
What You Will Do
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy to achieve revenue and growth targets
- Identify new market opportunities, customer segments and go-to-market strategies
- Establish clear sales goals, quotas, performance metrics, and monitor progress against sales and marketing targets
- Lead, coach and scale high-performing sales and marketing teams across the business
- Align marketing campaigns with sales objectives to drive pipeline growth and conversion
- Partner with product, finance and customer success teams to ensure alignment and maximize pipeline generation and conversion
- Implement and refine sales processes, marketing automation and CRM systems
- Build and optimize sales processes, tools and systems to improve efficiency and effectiveness
- Analyse performance data, campaign effectiveness and market trends to guide decision-making
- Manage key client relationships and participate in high-value negotiations and deal closures
- Communicate consistently with the sales and marketing organizations on company updates, priorities and performance against targets
- Foster a collaborative, motivated and results-driven team culture
What We Are Looking For
- Circa 8–12+ years of sales leadership experience, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets
- Strong understanding of sales methodologies, pipeline management and CRM systems
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies
- Software sales background, with a preference for experience in selling to government agencies and/or commercial organizations
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Data-driven mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proven experience in leading high-performing software sales teams, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets, preferably within the market. Experience building and scaling sales teams in a growth-oriented environment
- Demonstrated ability to analyze sales data and make data-driven decisions
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, with experience
- Ability to obtain SC Clearance
