About the Role

The Personal Lines Account Manager serves as the primary point of contact for a book of business, delivering exceptional service while helping clients navigate their insurance needs. In this role, you will build strong relationships with policyholders, provide guidance on coverage options, and ensure clients receive the support and attention they deserve throughout the life of their policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned book of personal lines accounts, providing responsive and professional service to clients.
• Serve as the main contact for policyholders, handling questions and requests by phone, email, and in person.
• Review coverage with clients and make recommendations to help ensure their insurance programs continue to meet their needs.
• Process policy renewals, endorsements, cancellations, and other account changes accurately and efficiently.
• Review applications and policy documentation prior to carrier submission to maintain accuracy and compliance.
• Stay informed on carrier guidelines, industry developments, and market trends in order to effectively advise clients.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen existing client relationships through additional insurance products and services.
• Assist with quoting new business and supporting client retention initiatives.
• Partner with producers, customer service staff, and agency leadership to provide a seamless client experience.
• Maintain accurate records within the agency management system and ensure all work complies with agency procedures and insurance regulations.

Qualifications:

• Active Property & Casualty license required
• Prior experience in personal lines insurance in an agency setting
• Proven ability to deliver outstanding service and build lasting relationships with clients.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Comfortable working with agency management platforms and Microsoft Office applications.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Capable of thriving independently while also contributing to a collaborative, fast-paced team environment.

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive compensation package based on experience ($60,000-80,000 depending on experience) plus commission.
