Job PostingDutiesYou will provide unlimited contracting support to various Department of Defense (DOD) activates.You will provide technical guidance and training to Contract Specialists, Purchasing Agents, and contracting personnel in developmental positions as well as requiring activity personnel.You will be responsible for the solicitation, analysis, evaluation, and negotiation of contractor's proposals for highly complex and technical requirements within the branch, as well as direct supervision of the employees in the branchYou will be expected to display and maintain mastery in the execution of "cradle-to-grave" contracting and procurement.You will advise employees and customers of any changes in acquisition procedures, regulation, or policy, as necessary.Requirements Conditions of employmentMust be a US Citizen.Must be determined suitable for federal employment.Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: applying a mastery knowledge of contracting advisory services to ensure regulations and requirements are met and must include all of the following:utilizing knowledge of Federal, DOD and DON contracting laws, regulations, principles and procedures, contracts and provisions to provide guidance and leadership Contract Specialist and other subordinate personnel;utilizing knowledge of methods of contracting applicable to the acquisition of supplies, personal, and non-personal services to develop acquisition solutions;managing multiple contracting projects to ensure Program goals and objectives are met;analyzing existing policies and procedure to develop and implement improvements;communicating orally and in writing to collaborate across organizations to reach concurrence on processes, projects, and desired outcomes.Applicant must meet the following Department of Defense qualification requirements for 1102 contracting positions: And the title 10 requirements found here: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).
