GI Technician

The Endoscopy Technician / Gastrointestinal Technician assists endoscopy nurses and physicians in the gastroenterology (GI) specialty. The Endoscopy Technician / Gastrointestinal Technician assists patients who have stomach or intestine problems, or those who are undergoing diagnostic procedures and/or treatment for various GI related illnesses.
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Endoscopy Technician Certification may be required per state/client contract
One year of experience preferred within medical assisting, surgical technology and/or GI
Current CPR if applicable
TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age
