Floor Nurse (RN/LPN) - Evening Shift
This is a 13-week contract position.
8-Hour Evening Shift: 2:45 PM - 11:00 PM, Every Other Weekend (EOW)
The Floor Nurse (RN/LPN) will provide comprehensive nursing care in a Long-Term Care (LTC) and Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) environment, focusing on the care of residents aged 18 and older, including those receiving hospice care.
Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Perform blood glucose monitoring and insulin administration.
- Administer IV medications such as antibiotics, Lasix, and Bumex.
- Provide care for tube feedings and total parenteral nutrition (TPN).
- Conduct wound care and lab draws.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and perform vital sign monitoring.
- Engage in assessment charting and documentation including incident reports.
- Conduct central line cares and chest tube management (RN only).
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Current RN or LPN license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Prior experience with Point Click Care (PCC) preferred.
- Experience measuring wounds; staging performed by Nurse Practitioner weekly.
