72 hours Med/Surg Tele RN Job Requirements

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at the time of submission; compact or Ohio licensure accepted At least 2 years of current acute care RN experience, including recent Med/Surg Tele experience within the past 12 months Current BLS and ACLS certifications Proficiency with Epic electronic health records is required Experience with telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV therapy, phlebotomy, oxygen administration, isolation precautions, PCA, and peripheral line care Experience with pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic pain interventions, including equianalgesic opioid dosing Graduate of an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program Ability to float to units with equivalent or lower acuity Previous travel nursing experience is preferred Two professional references are required, including at least one reference from a manager, director, supervisor, or other formal leader Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients receiving medical oncology and palliative care services Assess patient conditions, recognize changes in status, and implement timely interventions Manage symptoms such as uncontrolled pain, nausea and vomiting, fatigue, and failure to thrive Apply evidence-based pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic pain management strategies and perform accurate opioid dose conversions Monitor telemetry, interpret dysrhythmias, and respond appropriately to changes in cardiac status Administer medications and treatments safely while managing IVs, oxygen therapy, PCA, and other ordered interventions Support patients and families through complex healthcare decisions and goals-of-care discussions in collaboration with the care team Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in Epic Collaborate with interdisciplinary partners, including interpretation services, to promote patient comfort, dignity, and quality of life Float to comparable or lower-acuity units as needed while maintaining safe, patient-centered care Apply now
