We are seeking a Sous Chef for our Event Center located in Allen, Texas to oversee the food operations for Credit Union of Texas Event Center.

Responsibilities

• Support the Executive Chef in managing all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, presentation, and service.
• Supervise and mentor kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow, adherence to recipes, and high-quality food production.
• Oversee food safety sanitizing procedures and ensure compliance with health regulations across all kitchen areas.
• Assist with menu planning, ingredient sourcing, inventory management, and cost control initiatives.
• Coordinate catering events and banquet services, ensuring seamless execution from setup to service.
• Manage shift schedules, monitor labor costs, and optimize resource allocation for maximum efficiency.
• Maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment while fostering a culture of teamwork, hospitality, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in high volume establishments with strong background in food production and kitchen management.
• Demonstrated supervising experience with teams of culinary professionals.
• Extensive banquet and catering experience with knowledge of event-specific food service needs.
• Solid understanding of food safety sanitizing procedures, inventory control, and cost management.
• Skilled in menu planning, food handling, and culinary techniques across diverse cuisines.
• Experience in managing dietary requirements and implementing dietary department standards.
• Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication skills; capable of motivating teams and managing shifts effectively.
• Knowledge of restaurant management systems and inventory management tools is preferred.
