Position Summary The Sales Consultant is an outside sales representative who promotes the Company’s products and services, building relationships with new and existing customers to become their trusted business partner. The role involves consultative selling to grow sales of amenities, textiles, room accessories, paper, janitorial supplies, cleaning, FF&E, and MRO products within an assigned territory. The primary focus is to help customers succeed while meeting sales and profit goals. Sales Consultants receive a base salary with an opportunity to earn quarterly bonuses based on KPI achievement. Primary Responsibilities Maintain and identify new sales opportunities within prospective and existing accounts, making sales calls and presentations to develop and maintain solid customer relationships and increase category penetration. Utilize consultative selling techniques, product knowledge, ROI, system tools (Phocas, GForce, Salesforce), and sales training resources to target new prospects and market growth opportunities. Continuously manage assigned accounts and take corrective action, as needed, to maintain and improve overall customer experience. Consult regularly with assigned accounts on new products, services, company changes, holiday schedules, pricing changes, and new opportunities. Notify management immediately if an existing account is at risk of discontinuing service or if issues remain unresolved. Work with Accounts Receivable to ensure invoices are paid within agreed terms. Collaborate with internal departments to provide vital information for customer service, including advance notification to Merchandising of changes in product movement or other details. Assist with setting up new accounts, including Customer Account Application, order guides, pricing, schedules, and related documentation. Accurately forecast sales results and trends for the specific territory. Minimum Education Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, or Business preferred. Minimum Experience 3–5 years of sales experience with a proven record of success. Experience in hospitality or supply/distribution sales preferred. Experience managing new and existing customer relationships and upselling preferred. Experience with trip planning, territory routing, and account prioritization preferred. Physical Demands & Work Environment Regularly sit, stand, walk, use hands and fingers to operate a computer, mouse, and telephone. Frequently sit and reach with hands and arms, occasionally lift or move up to 20 pounds. Position requires frequent travel for appointments, training, meetings, events, and industry trade shows. May require use of personal vehicle for business travel; valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance required. If working remotely, must have reliable internet connection and a dedicated workspace free of distractions.
