Data runs on Stack.At Stack, the Sr Accountant, Fixed Asset Accounting, is an integral member of the Finance and Accounting team, responsible for supporting all aspects of fixed asset accounting across a growing portfolio of data center assets. This role will focus on capitalization, depreciation, Construction-in-Progress (CIP), and asset lifecycle accounting, while ensuring compliance with US GAAP and internal policies. You will work closely with Development, Construction, and Operations teams to ensure accurate and timely accounting for capital expenditures and asset activity, and serve as a key contributor in the month-end close and reporting processes.To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communications skills, strong attention to detail, be exceptionally organized, self-motivated, and a master problem-solver. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Complete the month end close process related to fixed assets, ensuring completeness and accuracy.Execute fixed asset accounting activities, including capitalization, depreciation, disposals, and transfersEnsure timely construction-progress placement in service.Prepare and post journal entries related to capital expenditures and asset activityEvaluate capital vs. expense treatment in accordance with US GAAP and company policyPartner with Development, Construction, and Operations teams to ensure accurate accounting for project activityReconcile fixed asset subledger to the general ledger and investigate and resolve discrepanciesAssist with internal and external reporting related to fixed assets and capital spendProvide documentation and support for external auditsIdentify and implement process improvements within fixed asset accounting and reportingSupport system enhancements and data integrity within NetSuite and related toolsPerform ad-hoc analysis and special projects as neededThe details:Location: Denver, CO – In office (3 days week)Travel: less than 10%Must be eligible to work in the United StatesMust pass comprehensive background screeningMust-have qualifications:BS in Accounting required3+ years prior work experienceCPA and public accounting experience preferredStrong understanding of US GAAP, specifically fixed assets and capitalizationMulti-entity and shared-service experience preferredNetSuite experience preferredProficient with Microsoft Office product suite, especially ExcelDetail-orientedStrong analytical, problem solving, and communications skillsEnjoys collaborating and works well cross-functionally with other teamsAbility to execute, process, and prioritize tasks with minimal-to-no supervisionProven success in creating efficiencies in processes and proceduresCompensation range:$94,340.00 - $104,940.00This might be right for you if:You are a strong communicator, you are persuasive and clear, blending analytics with experience in decision-making.You do not get flustered easily.
