Junior Bookkeeper

Junior Bookkeeper needed for a bookkeeping service company located in Tustin, CA. Temporary to hire position paying $25-30/hr, depending on experience. Hours are flexible, starting between 7:30 AM and 8:30 AM, Monday - Friday, with 8-hour days. Benefits include Medical, Dental, and Vision.

This company provides bookkeeping services for companies throughout the United States. Individuals will be assigned clients to manage their entire bookkeeping.

Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping for multiple clients.
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Code and match transactions within the QuickBooks Online bank feed.
• Handle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
• Manage and support the full bookkeeping/accounting cycle.
• Prepare and provide Profit & Loss Statements and Balance Sheets.
• Review and understand financial statements for accuracy.
• Properly utilize and maintain the Chart of Accounts.
• Assist clients with bookkeeping-related questions and financial information.
• Work across various areas of clients' books rather than focusing solely on month-end close.

Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of hands-on bookkeeping experience.
• Strong proficiency with QuickBooks Online (QBO) is required.
• Understanding of the full bookkeeping/accounting cycle.
• Strong understanding of Balance Sheets and Profit & Loss Statements.
• Comfortable navigating and properly utilizing a Chart of Accounts.
• Experience with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
• Bank and credit card reconciliation experience.
• Experience coding and matching transactions in the QBO bank feed.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Professional communication and presentation.
• MS Office proficiency.
• Accounting/bookkeeping degree or related education is a plus, but not required.

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $25.00 - $30.00 Per Hour
