Pharmacy Clerk Highlights

• The pay for this position is $17.50 per hour.
• Schedule:
• • Sunday: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
  • Monday: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
  • Wednesday: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
  • Friday: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
  • Plus mandatory overtime as needed
• Onsite position
• This position is a  Temporary role (temp-to-hire potential)
• Location: Cheektowaga, NY 14227

Responsibilities

• Fill prescription vials with prescribed tablets and capsules (manual filling)
• Retrieve and process Unit of Use and Bulk items
• Read computer-generated screens to locate medications on labeled shelves; verify correct size/strength prior to filling
• Replenish medication in automated cells to full capacity (opening large quantities of bottles/cases)
• Count and/or calculate correct unit quantities using basic math skills
• Use handheld scanner to scan barcodes for replenishment and related tasks
• Maintain consistent workflow to meet daily production goals in a fast-paced environment
• Process orders for shipping (fold/pack paperwork, attach shipping labels)
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area/pharmacy floor
• Follow SOPs and comply with HIPAA and pharmacy standard procedures to support patient safety and privacy
• Escalate issues appropriately and support problem resolution on the floor
• Perform housekeeping and other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED (or equivalent experience)
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and frequently carry 20–30 lbs
• Ability to stand/walk continuously during shift (8+ hours/day )
• Ability to bend, twist, reach, grasp, and perform repetitive tasks with strong attention to detail
• Basic math, reading, and writing skills
• Visual acuity to read computer screens, handheld scanners, and labels
• Preferred: pharmacy tech, pharmacy support, or warehouse experience
• Preferred (not required in NYS): Pharmacy Tech degree
• Reliable transportation to be onsite 4 days/week
