Key Qualifications:

• Valid and active Occupational Therapy license in Texas
• State fingerprinting and background check clearance (must be completed before start)
• Significant experience working in school-based or pediatric settings (highly qualified COTAs with several years’ experience encouraged to apply)
• Proficiency in using school documentation systems such as SHARES, Onward, and Excel for managing IEP logs
• Reliable transportation to commute between 6-7 assigned schools within a designated geographic zone
• Must not be a former employee of the district; candidates terminated from any school district are ineligible

Primary Responsibilities:

• Manage an assigned caseload (approximately 70 students, with direct services provided to 30-40 on a rotating schedule)
• Conduct evaluations and participate in ARD meetings
• Deliver consultative and direct therapy services, adhering to individualized education plans
• Maintain accurate documentation and records as mandated by district procedure
• Collaborate with other education professionals and support staff within the assigned zone
