Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Assertive Community of Counseling Services, your responsibilities will include:

• Advocating for clients to ensure they connect with vital community resources, services, and support systems tailored to enhance their mental health and overall well-being.

• Providing immediate support and crisis intervention, including de-escalation techniques and safety assessments, to maintain the psychological stability of your clients during urgent situations.

• Maintaining meticulous and confidential client records, progress notes, and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with all legal, ethical, and organizational standards.

• Engaging in regular collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to create integrated treatment plans that address the unique needs of each individual.

• Empowering clients by educating them about coping mechanisms, effective communication strategies, and self-care practices to foster their independence and resilience.

• Participating actively in community outreach initiatives to raise awareness of mental health resources and build strong community partnerships.

You will predominantly work with a diverse client base, including individuals facing significant mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, and more. Your role will be crucial in providing tailored therapeutic interventions and support to help them navigate their unique circumstances and achieve personal goals.

Qualifications\n

To thrive in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A current license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Connecticut is essential.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a closely related field is a minimum requirement; however, a Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) is preferred.

• At least four years of relevant experience, demonstrating a solid understanding of outpatient mental health practices.

• Superior interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective interaction with clients and team members.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, previous experience in an outpatient mental health setting will be viewed favorably. Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic methodologies, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) or dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), would enhance your candidacy.

Compensation and Benefits\n
