Step into a meaningful contract role supporting young learners as an Intervention Specialist near Willoughby, OH. Two immediate openings are available to serve K-2nd grade students, with classrooms held to an 8-student maximum, allowing for impactful individualized instruction. You’ll be part of a dedicated team, creating a supportive learning environment for students with mild to moderate or moderate to severe needs in Geauga County.

Both positions are full-time, with a schedule of 7:30 am to 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday—totaling 35 hours per week. The assignment runs from now until May 31st, providing an ideal opportunity to make a real difference over the course of the school year.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification
• Experience working with K-2nd grade students
• Proven ability to collaborate with fellow educators and support staff
• Expertise in individualized education plan (IEP) development and implementation
• Flexibility and resourcefulness in adapting to students’ diverse needs
• Strong communication skills with students, families, and colleagues

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality, differentiated instruction to a small caseload of students (class cap of 8)
• Develop and manage personalized IEPs, ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines
• Apply effective intervention strategies for either mild-moderate or moderate-severe special needs
• Foster a safe, nurturing classroom atmosphere that encourages learning and growth
• Work closely with general education teachers and support staff to promote inclusion
