Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Exciting opportunity for a North Carolina licensed Physical Therapist to make a positive impact in a school setting for the upcoming academic year. This contract position serves PreK through 12th grade students, providing comprehensive physical therapy services across locations within the district. The assignment is full-time, spanning from August 10th, 2026 through June 1st, 2027, with the flexibility needed in a dynamic school environment. Interviews are being scheduled now via Zoom, with official offers extended beginning July 1st.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid and active Physical Therapist license in North Carolina
• Previous school-based PT experience working with PreK-12th grade students
• Strong familiarity with ECATS case management system
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with educational teams
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Experience developing and implementing IEP-related PT services
• Flexibility to adapt to multiple school sites

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and consultative physical therapy services as specified by student IEPs
• Conduct thorough assessments, write evaluation reports, and participate in eligibility/IEP meetings
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to support student participation and access
• Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and compliance documentation in ECATS
• Travel between assigned school locations as needed
• Support inclusive practices across a diverse student population
