Continental Europe | Netherlands or Belgium | Hybrid We are seeking an experienced Compensation & Benefits (C&B) Manager to join the Continental Europe C&B team. Based near one of our GXO sites in the Netherlands or Belgium (hybrid working applies), you will lead the implementation of Global Job Architecture, European Pay Transparency, Compensation and Benefits optimisation. In coordination with HR and partnering with Finance and Legal, you will analyse and optimise compensation structures, ensure legal compliance, and drive the integration of new policies and programs to support a growing organisation. The ideal candidate brings hands‑on C&B experience in Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany, with some additional Northern European exposure. Global Job Architecture & European Pay Transparency Ensure the job architecture delivers competitive and equitable compensation structures and supports pay transparency requirements. Evaluate and integrate new roles or changes in job architecture. Provide guidance on country‑specific applications of global compensation policies, accounting for local nuances and market competitiveness. Drive gender neutrality in pay and perform gap analyses to identify and address discrepancies within and between countries. Develop and implement European pay transparency policies in alignment with local labour laws and global standards. Policy, Compliance & Annual Review Review, create, and revise local compensation policies, ensuring consistency across geographies and alignment with the company’s growth strategy and evolving regulations. Stay current with changes in labour laws, tax policies, and relevant legislation; implement local legal changes (pensions, healthcare, life cover, etc.) applying global governance. Ensure GDPR compliance in the management of compensation and benefits data. Maintain clear documentation of all policies, processes, and compliance requirements for audit and legal readiness. Conduct annual reviews of salary benchmarks, gender pay audits, and compensation structures; adjust based on market conditions and regulatory changes. Support growth‑related due diligence and TUPE processes. Training & Development Deliver training programs to educate managers and HR teams on compensation practices, pay transparency, and policy changes. Regularly update training materials to reflect regulatory and process changes. Strategic Partnership & Stakeholder Collaboration Collaborate with Business, Finance, Legal, and HR teams to align compensation structures with business strategy, budget setting, and tax optimisation. Manage internal communications on compensation, benefits, and new policies in collaboration with the Global C&B Team, ensuring clarity for all stakeholders. Act as the subject matter expert on job architecture, pay transparency, and tax optimisation. Support business growth by anticipating compensation implications of expansion and role changes. Develop tax optimisation strategies, including flexible benefits, pension contributions, social security, and other benefits across multiple jurisdictions. Monitor the competitiveness of bonus structures and target practices, ensuring alignment with company culture and market trends. Collaborate with leadership on salary scales and cost implications tied to new hires and role progression; conduct salary benchmarking for blue‑collar populations. Contribute to the budget‑setting process, ensuring C&B considerations are incorporated into financial planning. Oversee AIP (Annual Incentive Plan) and local incentives, ensuring transparent calculations and competitive alignment. Monitor employee benefits and work with external brokers on annual renewals, proposing cost‑mitigation strategies where appropriate. What you need to succeed at GXO Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A master’s degree or certifications (e.g., SHRM‑SCP, CCP) is a plus. Experience: 5–7 years in Compensation & Benefits management with a strong focus on European pay transparency and global job architecture. Must have experience with Belgian, Dutch and German C&B laws and legislation. Languages: Fluent in English and Dutch; German / French is a plus. Skills: Ability to translate strategy into actionable local plans. Strong knowledge of European labour laws and tax regulations. Expertise in pay equity analysis, including gender neutrality, and GDPR compliance in a C&B context. Ability to analyse complex data and translate it into actionable insights. Proven stakeholder management and influencing skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Additional information: Occasional travel to various European locations may be required. Flexibility to work across multiple time zones due to the global nature of the role. Knowledge of C&B laws in additional EU countries is an advantage.
