Key Responsibilities

• Implement and facilitate individualized treatment plans established by supervising Physical Therapists, ensuring the highest quality of care for each patient.
• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, gait training, and functional activities aimed at enhancing mobility and reducing pain.
• Utilize various rehabilitation techniques and modalities, including ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and therapeutic massage, to support patient recovery.
• Document patient progress meticulously, providing accurate reports to supervising therapists about any changes in conditions or response to treatment.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families about home exercise programs that promote ongoing recovery and injury prevention.
• Maintain timely and accurate patient records to comply with healthcare regulations and facility standards.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes through integrated care approaches.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with patients recovering from surgery, injuries, and chronic conditions that limit their mobility and daily functionality. Qualifications

• An Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Active and valid licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in New York State.
