Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial assessments and evaluations to determine clients’ mental health status and specific concerns.

• Develop, implement, and adjust treatment plans in alignment with each client's needs and objectives.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as CBT and DBT.

• Provide ongoing support to clients, ensuring they receive the necessary tools and resources to manage their mental health effectively.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress within our electronic health record (EHR) system.

• Collaborate with other healthcare providers, including psychiatrists and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care for clients.

• Participate in professional development workshops and training sessions to remain current on trends and practices in mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work with a diverse clientele, which may include individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, and other emotional and psychological issues. Understanding the varying cultural backgrounds and experiences of clients will be essential, as you apply culturally responsive methods in your practice. Your ability to build rapport and trust will significantly influence their treatment and overall experience.

Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensing in New York State as either LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R.

• A minimum of four years of relevant clinical experience in behavioral health.

• In-depth knowledge of mental health disorders and familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Strong skills in crisis intervention and the ability to effectively manage challenging situations calmly and professionally.

Compensation and Benefits\n
