Marketing Automation Manager

As a Marketing Automation Manager, you will be responsible for designing, building, and owning the automated systems that run Homesteaders' marketing engine in support of growth and demand generation across the insurance business and its subsidiaries. This role owns nurture sequences, triggered campaigns, lead scoring and routing, and the integrations, CRM upkeep, QA, and project tracking that keep that automation layer trustworthy.

The Marketing Automation Manager partners closely with the Content Strategists, Digital Marketing Manager, Social Media Strategist, and Sales to ensure prospects move cleanly through the funnel and that marketing activity ties back to measurable pipeline and revenue outcomes. Marketing's CRM is HubSpot, which this role owns and administers as its primary system; Sales uses Salesforce, and the two are being integrated. This role ensures automation reliability and data integrity while supporting demand generation, go-to-market initiatives, and the continued evolution of the Homesteaders marketing engine.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Build email campaigns and automated workflows in HubSpot, including nurture sequences, triggered/behavioral campaigns, lead scoring and routing rules, and lifecycle automations.
• Build and maintain web forms and lead routing rules, ensuring clean handoffs to Sales so prospects move through the funnel and into the sales cycle.
• Track prospects through the full funnel, from form fill through lead scoring, routing, and sales handoff, tying automation and funnel performance back to pipeline and revenue outcomes.
• Build and manage integrations between marketing tools and other systems using Zapier and native integrations so data moves automatically instead of manually.
• Maintain the Salesforce to HubSpot integration, including monitoring sync health and resolving failures.
• Continuously audit existing automations for breakage, outdated logic, or workflows that have quietly stopped working.
• Own ongoing marketing CRM (HubSpot) maintenance and administration, including data hygiene, field/object upkeep, user access, and configuration.
• Build and maintain dashboards/reports in HubSpot on campaign performance, email metrics, and automation performance; deliver regular reporting to leadership.
• QA automated workflows and campaigns before and after launch, including triggers, segmentation logic, personalization tokens, and integration handoffs.
• Establish and maintain a lightweight review process so automations and campaigns get a second set of eyes before going live.
• Own and maintain the Monday.com setup for automation and ops projects, keeping work organized, on schedule, and clearly prioritized.
• Document how each automation works and help unblock work across the team.

Requirements:

• 5+ years in marketing automation, marketing operations, or a similar hands-on technical marketing role
• Deep, hands-on experience building automated workflows in a marketing automation platform (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo, Klaviyo, Pardot, or similar)
• Experience with Zapier or similar tools to connect systems without needing an engineer for every integration
• Deep, hands-on administration experience in HubSpot (our marketing CRM): data hygiene, fields, and configuration
• Some Salesforce experience (our sales CRM) preferred, especially as it relates to the HubSpot to Salesforce integration
• Experience building dashboards and reports in HubSpot
• Experience with Monday.com or comparable project management tools
• Prior experience directing or coordinating the work of a small team preferred
• Experience in regulated industries preferred
