We are looking for a dependable Facilities Assistant to help maintain a clean, safe, and well-presented apartment community. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who takes pride in hands-on property support, communicates well with residents and team members, and can adapt to changing priorities throughout the day. You will play an important part in supporting daily upkeep, addressing facility-related needs, and contributing to a welcoming environment for everyone on site.
Responsibilities:• Support the overall appearance and condition of the apartment community through routine upkeep and general facilities assistance.
• Respond to day-to-day maintenance requests and help resolve basic property issues in a timely and detail-oriented manner.
• Inspect common areas and outdoor spaces regularly to identify cleanliness, safety, or repair needs and report concerns promptly.
• Assist with preparing shared spaces, vacant units, and community areas so they remain presentable and ready for residents or visitors.
• Help maintain a safe environment by removing hazards, organizing work areas, and following established property procedures.
• Communicate courteously with residents, visitors, and staff to provide updates and ensure service needs are handled effectively.
• Adjust daily tasks as priorities change and provide hands-on support for various operational needs across the property.• Previous experience in facilities support, property maintenance, apartment communities, or a similar hands-on environment.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as walking the property, lifting materials, and completing general upkeep activities.
• Strong communication skills and a detail-oriented, service-oriented approach when interacting with residents and team members.
• Dependable work habits with the ability to follow instructions and complete assignments with attention to detail.
• Flexibility to manage shifting priorities and respond to urgent facility needs during the workday.
• Positive attitude and willingness to contribute to the overall cleanliness, safety, and appearance of the property.
• Familiarity with basic maintenance tools, general repair support, or property upkeep practices is preferred.
