We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to support day-to-day financial operations for a non-profit in Los Angeles, California. This contract opportunity with permanent potential is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-focused, and comfortable managing both payables and receivables in a fast-paced environment. The position requires strong accuracy in data entry, consistent follow-through on invoice activity, and confidence working with QuickBooks to maintain reliable financial records.

Responsibilities:

• Process vendor invoices, review supporting documentation, and prepare payments in a timely and accurate manner.

• Maintain accounts receivable records by issuing invoices, tracking incoming payments, and following up on outstanding balances.

• Enter financial data into accounting systems with a high level of precision to support accurate reporting and recordkeeping.

• Use QuickBooks to update transactions, reconcile account activity, and help keep ledger information current.

• Verify billing details, resolve discrepancies, and coordinate with internal contacts or external partners to address payment issues.

• Organize and maintain accounting files, ensuring invoices and related records are easy to retrieve and properly documented.

• Assist with routine account reconciliations and provide administrative support for general accounting tasks as needed.

• Experience handling both accounts payable and accounts receivable responsibilities.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks and confidence navigating accounting software in a daily work setting.
• Strong data entry skills with careful attention to accuracy and completeness.
• Background in invoice processing, including reviewing, recording, and tracking payment activity.
• Solid organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Clear communication skills for working with vendors, customers, and internal team members.
