Key Responsibilities of the Bookkeeper Role
- Manage full-cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- The Bookkeeper will perform bank reconciliations, general ledger reconciliations, and account reviews.
- Maintain accurate general ledger records using accounting software.
- Prepare and post journal entries to support accurate financial reporting.
- The Bookkeeper will assist with month-end and year-end close activities.
- Monitor unit cost variances and support the development of cost standards for materials and labor.
- The Bookkeeper will assist the accounting team with special projects and cross-functional initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications of the Bookkeeper Role
- 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, reconciliations, and financial processes.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
- Comfortable learning new systems and contributing to process improvements.
