Associate Attorney - Workers' Compensation & Insurance Defense

*The Role*

We are seeking a motivated Associate Attorney (2+ years of experience) to join our team. You will handle all phases of litigation, from initial claim evaluation through resolution, working alongside seasoned partners in a collaborative and mentorship-focused environment.

*Key Responsibilities*

* Manage a diverse caseload of defense matters.
* Conduct depositions, represent clients at hearings, and attend mediations.
* Draft persuasive pleadings, motions, and comprehensive legal evaluations.
* Analyze medical records and translate complex medical terminology into effective legal strategy.
* Maintain regular, high-level communication with clients and insurers.

*Qualifications*

* *Education/Bar:* Juris Doctor (JD) and active member in good standing with the Washington State Bar Association (WSBA). Admission to the Alaska, Oregon, or California Bar is a plus.
* *Experience:* 2+ years of civil litigation or insurance defense experience. Prior experience in maritime law or workers' compensation is preferred but not required.
* *Skills:* A basic understanding of medical terminology is preferred. Exceptional research, writing, and oral advocacy skills are essential.
* *Tech-Savvy:* Proficiency in legal research tools (Westlaw/LexisNexis) and case management software.

* *Salary Range*: $110,000 - $150,000 per year (Determined by experience and qualifications).

Pay: $110,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
