Work Environment This position is fully remote, allowing you to balance professional responsibilities with personal commitments effectively. Our team operates primarily within a community health clinic framework, which emphasizes accessibility and integration of care, making it easier for team members to collaborate across multiple disciplines. We offer flexible scheduling options, including 4x10 or 5x8 shifts during hours that accommodate our clients from 8 am to 7 pm, Monday through Friday. Key Responsibilities Conduct individual, group, couple, or family therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based methodologies tailored to each client’s unique situation. Interview clients to collect comprehensive information regarding their social, personal, environmental, and health contexts to inform treatment. Assess, evaluate, and formulate treatment plans that address mental health challenges, ensuring services provided are within your scope of practice. Develop and implement programs to meet clients’ emotional and social needs, coordinating care plans with additional healthcare professionals when necessary. Provide crisis intervention in a timely manner, referring clients to community resources as needed for increased support. Create and maintain a therapeutic relationship built on trust and collaboration with clients, ensuring that they feel safe and respected. Monitor the effectiveness of treatment plans and adjust as necessary, maintaining accurate documentation according to established protocols. Manage a caseload that aligns with organizational standards, ensuring timely updates and comprehensive record-keeping. Deliver individual clinical counseling aimed specifically at addressing issues such as depression, grief, anxiety, and relationship dynamics. Assist with other duties as assigned, contributing to team goals and the broader mission of the organization. Patient Population / Client Focus Your role will significantly impact our diverse patient demographic, who may face a variety of mental health challenges ranging from mood disorders and substance dependence to family dynamics and grief management. Qualifications A Master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or a related field is required. Must hold a valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) designation in the state of California. A minimum of four years of relevant experience in mental health counseling or a related field. Preferred Experience Prior counseling experience specifically in behavioral mental health treatment, including issues such as depression, mood disorders, and substance abuse. Experience conducting family therapy or relationship counseling is highly desirable. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and case management.
