VP of IT | QSR Technology & Restaurant Systems

Moonachie, NJ | NY Metro Preferred | Remote Considered with Travel

This is a key leadership role responsible for IT strategy, restaurant systems, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and the technology initiatives supporting continued growth.

The ideal candidate is an experienced technology leader who understands the unique demands of a multi location QSR or restaurant environment and knows how to build technology that supports both restaurant operations and business growth.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the company's overall IT strategy and technology roadmap

• Oversee restaurant technology including POS, digital ordering, loyalty, payments, back office systems, and connectivity

• Lead major technology implementations, integrations, and system upgrades across multiple locations

• Build and maintain a reliable, secure, and scalable IT infrastructure

• Partner with operations and executive leadership to identify technology needs and improve restaurant performance

• Lead cybersecurity, data security, disaster recovery, and business continuity initiatives

• Manage technology vendors, partners, contracts, and strategic relationships

• Build, develop, and lead a strong IT team

• Support the technology needs of a rapidly growing restaurant organization, including new location openings and expansion initiatives

What We’re Looking For

• Senior IT leadership experience in QSR, restaurants, or restaurant franchise operations

• Experience leading technology across a multi location environment

• A track record of supporting organizations through rapid growth and expansion

• Strong understanding of restaurant technology, POS, digital platforms, back office systems, and network infrastructure

• Experience with Toast and Restaurant365 (R365) is highly preferred

• Experience leading large scale technology implementations and system integrations

• Strong cybersecurity and infrastructure knowledge

• Proven vendor management and contract negotiation experience

• Experience hiring, developing, and leading IT teams

• Strong business judgment and the ability to communicate effectively with executive leadership

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience

The Right Fit

• We are looking for someone who has been close to the operation and understands that restaurant technology has to work at the unit level, every day .
• Experience with a growing QSR, fast casual concept, restaurant franchise organization, bakery café, or similar high volume multi unit operation is ideal.
• The strongest candidates will have experience helping a restaurant business scale, whether through new unit openings, system implementations, technology modernization, or building the infrastructure needed to support significant growth.

NY Metro candidates are preferred, but remote candidates may be considered with the ability to travel regularly.
