Job Description and Duties
The Position is headquartered in Sacramento.
Effective July 1, 2025, The California Department of Human Resources (CalHR) implemented the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025). PLP 2025 directs that each employee shall receive a 3 percent reduction in pay in exchange for 5 hours PLP 2025 leave credits, monthly. The salary range(s) included in the job advertisement do not reflect the 3 percent reduction in pay.
Under the supervision of the Health Program Manager II within the Office of the Long-Term Care Patient Representative (OLTCPR), the Analyst I provides administrative support to OLTCPR. The Analyst I will perform work of average difficulty in a wide variety of consultative and analytical staff services assignments in collaboration with the HPM II and two Supervisor I’s to support the mission and vision of the OLTCPR.

Working Conditions
The physical work location of the position is designated at the department's headquarters location, a three-story building and standard office modular workspace located in Natomas. The duties of the position require sitting for long periods of time while using a personal computer, reviewing documents, and attending meetings whether they are digital (i.e., Zoom, WebEx, MS Teams, etc.) or in person .
Special Requirements
This position is designated under the . The position is responsible for making or participating in the making of governmental decisions that may potentially have a material effect on personal financial interests. The appointee is required to complete within 30 days of appointment and once per year. Failure to comply with the Conflict of Interest Code requirements may void the appointment.

- Experience supporting a program or office. Experience in government, healthcare, regulatory, or human services setting preferred.
- Experience researching and applying laws, regulations, policies, or procedures.
- Strong customer service and communication skills. Experience responding to questions and assisting internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience using databases or other electronic systems. Experience maintaining records, entering data, and helping resolve user issues.
- Strong organizational skills. Ability to manage competing tasks, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Strong writing skills, including preparing emails, reports, guidance documents, or training materials.
- Skilled in using Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Ability to work with limited supervision and contribute as part of a team.
- Experience coordinating meetings, trainings, or other program activities.
- Ability to use good judgment, maintain confidentiality, and provide professional service.
