Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive evaluations to assess the intensity, frequency, and duration of clients' mood disorder symptoms.

• Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans that reflect each client’s unique needs, goals, and preferences.
\n
• Utilizing evidence-based treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to facilitate client progress.

• Providing education and support to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, treatment alternatives, and effective self-care strategies.
\n
• Monitoring client progress and modifying treatment plans based on their evolving needs.
\n
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care.

• Staying informed on the latest research and advancements in mood disorder treatment to enhance therapeutic efficacy.

• Maintaining precise and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
\n
• Participating in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development activities.

• Advocating for clients' mental health needs and working to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health issues.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals suffering from mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of historically marginalized groups such as the homeless, refugees, and survivors of domestic violence. Your role will be crucial in delivering thoughtful, patient-centered care that fosters healing and resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A valid and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is required.

Compensation and Benefits\n
