Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients' mental health and substance use conditions, accurately identifying co-occurring disorders to inform treatment strategies.

• Collaborate with clients to create tailored treatment plans that integrate evidence-based methodologies, ensuring interventions meet the diverse needs of individuals with both mental health and substance use disorders.

• Provide individual and group therapy sessions designed to empower clients with coping mechanisms, relapse prevention strategies, and emotional regulation skills.

• Coordinate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, nurses, and addiction specialists, to facilitate holistic care and comprehensive treatment plans.

• Implement and monitor substance use assessments and utilize motivational interviewing techniques to encourage and sustain client engagement in their recovery process.

• Educate clients and their families about the relationship between mental health and substance use, emphasizing the critical nature of adherence to treatment regimens.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client treatments and progress in alignment with ethical standards and legal requirements.

Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of California.

• Demonstrated proficiency in therapeutic modalities relevant to co-occurring disorders, including Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

• A solid understanding of how mental health issues and substance use disorders interact and impact recovery trajectories.
