Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify the needs and challenges faced by children and adolescents.

• Develop and execute individualized, evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each young patient, while considering their developmental stage and unique family dynamics.

• Facilitating therapeutic interventions, including individual therapy and family sessions, to address mental health challenges like anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders.

• Collaborate with child psychiatrists and other multidisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive care coordination and favorable patient outcomes.

• Provide crisis intervention services as needed, responding promptly and effectively to mental health emergencies involving children and teens.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, potential treatment paths, and resources available within the community.

• Maintain complete and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing our EHR system efficiently.

• Participate actively in case consultations, professional development activities, and team meetings to continuously enhance your skills and improve patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is to support young patients ranging from early childhood through to late adolescence, helping them navigate complex emotional and psychological issues. You will engage with a diverse clientele, working closely with families to foster a nurturing environment conducive to mental health recovery and growth.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California.

• Strong foundation in child and adolescent mental health disorders and evidence-based therapeutic modalities.

• Proven experience conducting individual and family therapy for children and adolescents.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate and child-centered approach.

• Aptitude for building rapport and trust with children, adolescents, and their families.

• Proficiency in the use of electronic health record systems and standard computer applications.

Preferred Experience\n
