Work Environment\n

This position is fully remote, allowing you to balance your professional responsibilities with personal life in a supportive and flexible working atmosphere. You will connect with patients primarily via telehealth platforms, utilizing the latest technology to provide care while maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism. Our work schedule typically runs from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, although occasional evening shifts may be necessary to cater to patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to evaluate the psychological needs and challenges faced by children and adolescents.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that consider not only the child's mental health needs but also family dynamics and developmental stages.

• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, play therapy, and family therapy, to address a variety of mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders.

• Provide crisis intervention and support for patients experiencing acute mental health emergencies.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about mental health challenges, treatment modalities, and available community resources.
\n
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical guidelines, ensuring a holistic treatment approach among all multidisciplinary team members.

• Engage actively in regular team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development activities to refine skills and share insights.
\n
• Stay informed on current evidence-based practices and research in child and adolescent psychiatry, integrating new knowledge into clinical practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with children and adolescents aged 5 to 18, helping them navigate the complexities of mental health struggles while also involving their families in the therapeutic process. Through a supportive and compassionate approach, you will empower these young individuals to understand their challenges and develop the coping skills necessary for lifelong wellness.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current, valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.

• Strong understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders, as well as evidence-based treatment modalities.
\n
• Proven experience in delivering both individual and family therapy to young clients.
\n
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to connect empathetically with children, adolescents, and their families.

• Competency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and various telehealth platforms for patient care.
\n
• Ability to work collaboratively and effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of experience in mental health counseling, particularly within a community health or clinical setting.

• Experience working with diverse populations and familiarity with cultural competency in mental health care.

Compensation and Benefits\n

Insightful Journeys Counseling Center offers a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 – 105,000 per year, complemented by bonuses and a sign-on bonus to welcome you to our team.
