The Developmental Health Rehab and Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our dynamic team. This full-time position allows you to work remotely, providing telehealth services to children and adolescents facing a variety of mental health challenges. As a vital member of our child and adolescent psychiatry office, you'll play a crucial role in promoting the mental well-being of our young clients through comprehensive assessments, tailored treatment plans, and ongoing support.

Work Environment\n

This position is 100% remote, allowing you to connect with patients through telehealth technology. You will have the flexibility to work from your preferred location while maintaining a regular schedule from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Occasionally, you may need to accommodate evening shifts based on patient requirements. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to accurately evaluate the needs of children and adolescents.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that consider each patient's developmental stages and family dynamics.

• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and play therapy, to effectively address various mental health concerns.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions, equipping parents and caregivers with the tools to foster a nurturing and supportive home environment.

• Collaborate with child psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to ensure seamless, holistic care for your patients.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during mental health emergencies, ensuring the safety and well-being of the child or adolescent.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and available community resources for additional support.
\n
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring compliance with health regulations.

• Actively participate in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development activities to enhance your skills.

• Stay informed about current research, best practices, and advancements in the field of child and adolescent psychiatry to continuously improve service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position primarily focuses on a diverse population of children and adolescents ages 5-18. You will work closely with individuals facing mental health disorders such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and various behavioral issues. By providing tailored interventions and support, you will contribute significantly to their mental wellness and development.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid professional license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Psychologist in the state of California.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred.

• Demonstrated knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment modalities, and therapeutic approaches.

• Experience in providing individual and family therapy to young individuals, employing developmentally appropriate techniques.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on a compassionate, patient-centered approach.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications.
