Twin Tower Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our dynamic team specializing in child and adolescent psychiatry. This full-time position offers the flexibility of a remote work setting while primarily serving our outpatient clients in Salinas, California. Work Environment\n

This role operates primarily in a remote setting, allowing for flexibility and work-life balance while remaining accessible to families. Our outpatient office provides a welcoming atmosphere conducive to therapeutic engagement, complete with state-of-the-art technology to facilitate effective communication and service delivery. The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with potential evening shifts to accommodate the needs of our young clients.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments and evaluations for children and adolescents, utilizing validated tools and methodologies to accurately identify their needs.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that align with the developmental stages of young patients, integrating family dynamics and cultural considerations.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Play Therapy, to help clients manage their symptoms and improve coping strategies.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions designed to empower parents and caregivers, equipping them with strategies to foster a supportive home environment.
\n
• Work collaboratively with child psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to each patient's care.

• Provide crisis intervention services during mental health emergencies, offering immediate support to children and families as needed.
\n
• Educate young patients and their families on mental health issues, treatment resources, and community support services available to them.
\n
• Maintain comprehensive and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical guidelines, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

• Actively engage in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development opportunities to continually enhance your clinical skills.

• Stay updated on the latest research, treatment modalities, and best practices in child and adolescent psychiatry.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position is dedicated to serving a diverse population of children and adolescents, ranging from early childhood to late teenagers. The therapist will work with patients facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders. Building strong therapeutic relationships is essential, as these connections contribute to improved treatment outcomes and the overall well-being of our clients.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Must possess a current, valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting, specifically focusing on child and adolescent populations, is preferred.

• Comprehensive knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders, therapeutic techniques, and evidence-based treatment approaches.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a child-centered and compassionate approach towards treatment.
\n
• The ability to develop rapport and trust with children and their families, promoting an open and supportive therapeutic alliance.

• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiarity with clinical documentation practices.
\n
• Strong collaborative spirit to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is between USD 115,000 and USD 130,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. We also offer a generous sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.
