This position allows for a fully remote work setting, enabling you to maintain a flexible work-life balance. However, your role will be rooted in our Smithtown outpatient office, providing a blend of virtual and in-person interactions. The typical work schedule runs from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts based on patient needs. You will collaborate with child psychiatrists and other mental health professionals, all while contributing to a team-oriented and nurturing culture.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments through interviews, observations, and standardized assessment tools to evaluate the needs of children and adolescents.

• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans tailored to the unique developmental stages and family dynamics of each client.

• Utilize a range of evidence-based therapeutic interventions to address common mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions designed to educate and empower parents and caregivers in fostering a supportive home environment.

• Collaborate closely with child psychiatrists and social workers to ensure a cohesive and multidisciplinary approach to care.

• Provide crisis intervention services on an as-needed basis during mental health emergencies involving children and adolescents.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, effective treatment options, and available community resources.

• Maintain accurate and confidential case documentation, adhering to legal, ethical, and organizational standards.

• Participate in regular team meetings and case consultations to promote knowledge sharing and professional development.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work primarily with children and adolescents facing a variety of mental health challenges. Our patient demographic includes young individuals dealing with issues such as anxiety disorders, depression, ADHD, and behavioral challenges, requiring a compassionate and developmentally appropriate approach. Supporting families is an integral part of your responsibilities as you help them navigate the complexities of mental health.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Social Work, Psychology, or Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or an equivalent professional designation in the state of New York.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience working specifically with children and adolescents is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 per year, along with a sign-on bonus to welcome you to our team.
