Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews to assess clients’ mental, emotional, and behavioral health, documenting cases from intake through discharge.

• Evaluate diagnostic criteria to develop effective, evidence-based intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing various therapeutic modalities to meet client needs.
\n
• Monitor and document client progress in relation to established treatment goals and adjust plans as necessary.
\n
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to enhance intervention strategies and ensure integrated care for clients.
\n
• Communicate regularly with psychiatrists and physicians to address any emerging concerns, particularly for clients requiring hospitalization.

• Identify behaviors that may impede recovery and implement strategies to prevent regression or crises.
\n
• Support family members and primary caregivers, providing guidance on managing challenging mental health issues.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our client population ranges from children to adults facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety disorders, depression, PTSD, and addiction issues. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LCSW in New York State.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Proficiency in electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR, is highly preferred.
\n
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to relay complex concepts in accessible language.

• Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating a compassionate and empathetic approach to client interactions.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience working as a mental health counselor in outpatient settings, with a proven track record of successful client outcomes.

• Experience addressing mental health issues in conjunction with physical and emotional health conditions, particularly addiction disorders.

• Familiarity with evidence-based practices as recommended by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• In-depth knowledge of the pharmacological impacts of psychiatric medications.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience, and comes with a sign-on bonus.
