Work Environment\n

This role supports a flexible, remote work model, enabling licensed therapists to deliver essential services across various communities. You will collaborate closely with a team of specialized practitioners while benefitting from a supportive supervision framework. Our outpatient office operates Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening hours required to meet patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for children and adolescents to identify their individual needs and challenges.

• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that consider age, cognitive development, and family dynamics.

• Utilize evidence-based counseling techniques to provide individual and family therapy aimed at addressing disorders such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral issues.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions to empower parents and caregivers with strategies for creating supportive home environments.

• Work collaboratively with child psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to care.

• Provide crisis intervention support during mental health emergencies, employing appropriate de-escalation techniques and therapeutic approaches.

• Educate families about various mental health conditions and available community resources, reinforcing understanding and reducing stigma.
\n
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards in documentation.

• Engage in regular professional development, staying current with the latest research and best practices in child and adolescent mental health.

• Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and training sessions to enhance collaboration and team cohesion.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily focus on children and adolescents facing a range of mental health challenges, including but not limited to anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, ADHD, and various behavioral concerns. Your expertise will help develop effective coping strategies for our young clients and enhance their quality of life.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCSW-R, LMFT, or LMHC in New York.
\n
• Strong theoretical knowledge of child and adolescent mental health issues and an understanding of developmental psychology.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating a child-centered approach to therapy.

• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiarity with telehealth platforms.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
