Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for children and adolescents to determine their unique needs and challenges.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that consider each patient's developmental stage, family dynamics, and specific mental health concerns.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and play therapy, to address conditions such as anxiety, depression, and ADHD.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions to encourage parental involvement and support the creation of nurturing home environments for children.
\n
• Work closely with child psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to ensure comprehensive care coordination for patients.
\n
• Utilize crisis intervention techniques to provide immediate support during acute mental health emergencies.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about mental health issues, treatment options, and available community resources.
\n
• Maintain precise and confidential documentation of patient progress, adhering to all legal and ethical standards.

• Participate actively in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development opportunities.

• Stay up-to-date with the latest research, practices, and emerging trends in child and adolescent psychiatry.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily serve children and adolescents facing a range of mental health issues, including but not limited to anxiety disorders, depression, ADHD, and various behavioral disorders. Your insight and therapeutic skills will be instrumental in guiding young individuals to achieve better emotional and psychological health. Engaging with families to foster a supportive atmosphere at home will also be a key focus of your work.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Psychologist in the state of California.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience, preferably with children and adolescents.

• Strong understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders and familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Proven experience in delivering therapeutic interventions to both individuals and families.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with an emphasis on a compassionate, child-centered approach.

• Ability to build rapport and trust with young patients and their caregivers, fostering a positive therapeutic alliance.

• Competency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and technology.

• Experience working in multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care.

Compensation and Benefits\n
