Work Environment\n

The work setting for this position is fully remote, utilizing telehealth technologies to connect with clients and their families. This flexible work environment allows you to effectively engage with clients from the comfort of their own homes while maintaining a structured work schedule of Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Occasional evening shifts may be necessary to accommodate patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for children and adolescents to identify their psychological needs and challenges.

• Create tailored treatment plans that consider each child's developmental stage, family dynamics, and specific issues they may be facing.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy or play therapy, to address a range of mental health concerns effectively.

• Guide family therapy sessions aimed at enhancing parental support and creating a nurturing environment for young clients.

• Work closely with child psychiatrists and other health professionals to ensure a seamless and coordinated approach to mental health care.

• Provide timely crisis intervention during instances of acute mental health emergencies involving children and adolescents.
\n
• Educate clients and their families on mental health conditions, available treatment options, and community resources that promote sustained well-being.

• Maintain comprehensive and confidential documentation that adheres to legal and ethical standards.

• Actively participate in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development initiatives.

• Remain updated on the latest research, treatment modalities, and advancements in child and adolescent mental health to enhance your practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position primarily focuses on the mental health needs of children and adolescents, involving a broad spectrum of disorders such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral challenges. The therapist will engage with young clients, providing individualized therapy that encompasses both mental health concerns and the emotional demands of growing up in today’s complex environment.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.
\n
• Demonstrated knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders, including evidence-based treatment therapies.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, exemplifying a compassionate approach to young clients and their families.

• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and essential computer applications.
\n
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Preferred Experience\n

• Minimum of two years of experience in a mental health setting, preferably with children and adolescents.

• Experience with delivering both individual and family therapy to young clients is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 115,000 to 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
