Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Operations Manager position based in Ithaca, NY. The Operations Manager will oversee day-to-day facility operations to ensure efficient production and delivery of high-performance optical products. Responsibilities include managing production schedules, optimizing processes for quality and cost-effectiveness, coordinating with cross-functional teams, ensuring regulatory compliance, and leading continuous improvement initiatives. The role also involves team leadership, resource allocation, and consistent communication with leadership to meet organizational goals.
Qualifications
- Strong leadership and team management abilities, with proven experience in personnel development and resource allocation
- Expertise in operations management, strategic planning, and process optimization
- In-depth knowledge of production scheduling, manufacturing processes, and quality control standards
- Technical experience in optical systems or precision manufacturing is highly advantageous
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and operational software systems
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business, or a related field is required; advanced degree or certification in operations preferred
