Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Operations Manager position based in Ithaca, NY. The Operations Manager will oversee day-to-day facility operations to ensure efficient production and delivery of high-performance optical products. Responsibilities include managing production schedules, optimizing processes for quality and cost-effectiveness, coordinating with cross-functional teams, ensuring regulatory compliance, and leading continuous improvement initiatives. The role also involves team leadership, resource allocation, and consistent communication with leadership to meet organizational goals.

Qualifications

Strong leadership and team management abilities, with proven experience in personnel development and resource allocation
Expertise in operations management, strategic planning, and process optimization
In-depth knowledge of production scheduling, manufacturing processes, and quality control standards
Technical experience in optical systems or precision manufacturing is highly advantageous
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
Proficiency in data analysis tools and operational software systems
Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business, or a related field is required; advanced degree or certification in operations preferred
