Key Responsibilities As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, your primary responsibilities will include: Providing therapeutic services to couples and families, employing evidence-based practices tailored to individual cases. Conducting assessments and developing treatment plans that address a range of issues affecting familial relationships and individual mental health. Facilitating sessions for conflict resolution, focusing on effective communication skills and emotional support. Specializing in handling situations such as grief and loss, job stress, relationship conflicts, and adjustment issues surrounding separation and divorce. Implementing strategies for blended families, managing challenges linked to remarriage, and cut-offs among family members. Monitoring patients' progress and modifying treatment plans as needed while documenting each session in compliance with regulatory standards. Collaborating with colleagues for interdisciplinary insights and supportive care strategies. Patient Population / Client Focus Your work will involve direct engagement with a diverse client base, including adults, children, and adolescents. The spectrum of issues addressed will involve family dynamics, mental health challenges, behavioral concerns, and personal growth. You will offer a safe and confidential space for clients to express their feelings, work through conflicts, and develop coping strategies to improve their overall mental health and relationship satisfaction. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications: Active state licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field. Proven ability to work effectively with diverse populations and commitment to patient-centric care. Strong communication skills and the ability to foster positive therapeutic relationships. Preferred Experience We look favorably upon candidates who demonstrate: A depth of experience in handling family-related issues, such as blended families and relationship strife. Experience providing telehealth services via video conferencing platforms. Previous work in outpatient mental health settings. Flexibility in scheduling to accommodate varying client needs, with the expectation of working a minimum of 30 hours per week.
