About the Role We are seeking a detail oriented Accountant to join our finance team. This role is ideal for someone with strong accounting knowledge who enjoys analyzing financial data, maintaining accurate records, and helping drive sound financial decision making. You will work closely with finance, operations, and leadership to ensure the accuracy of financial reporting, support budgeting and forecasting, maintain compliance, and identify opportunities to improve financial processes. Key Responsibilities Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports. Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations. Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger. Assist with month end and year end close activities. Analyze financial statements and identify trends or discrepancies. Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements. Assist with internal and external audits. Monitor financial performance and recommend process improvements. Collaborate with cross functional teams to support business objectives. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills. High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience in mortgage lending, fintech, banking, or financial services. Experience with ERP or accounting software.
