Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial assessments and follow-up evaluations to document clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health status.

• Design and implement detailed, individualized treatment plans incorporating various therapeutic modalities suited to each client's unique circumstances.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based techniques to foster communication and self-expression.

• Monitor patient progress throughout the treatment journey, making adjustments as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare providers, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, for comprehensive case management.

• Coordinate referrals and support services to enhance client resources, whether for hospitalization or specialized care as needed.

• Educate and involve family members and primary caregivers in treatment processes, equipping them with strategies to support recovery and mental wellness.

• Maintain thorough electronic health records in compliance with HIPAA and organizational standards, utilizing systems such as AVATAR for efficient documentation.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will work with a diverse clientele, including individuals and families struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, and various mental health conditions. You will need to employ a holistic approach, considering underlying physical health issues and integrating them into treatment. Your ability to connect empathetically with clients from varying backgrounds will be essential in creating a safe space for healing and growth.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure in Tennessee as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Demonstrated clinical experience in mental health counseling, with a minimum of 2 years in a relevant setting.

• Proficient in electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR, to ensure accurate and timely documentation.
\n
• In-depth understanding of mental health conditions, addiction disorders, and the impact of psychotropic medications.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to facilitate effective therapist-client interactions and collaboration with healthcare professionals.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in group therapy facilitation and family counseling.

• Strong knowledge of best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Background in supporting clients with dual diagnoses, including behavioral health and substance use disorders.

• Proven ability to engage in crisis intervention and risk assessment.

Compensation and Benefits\n

Function First Therapy Center offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
