We are searching for a VP, Commercial Banker to provide onsite support for a Las Vegas financial institution's commercial lending arm. The salary range is $100k to $120k plus incentives.

Responsibilities

• Identify, cultivate, and expand relationships with prospective clients to build a profitable commercial banking portfolio through relationship-based business development.
• Develop and execute a proactive business development strategy — prospecting, outbound calling, networking, and referral partnerships — to establish new client relationships.
• Manage and grow an assigned commercial loan and deposit portfolio through proactive relationship management and delivery of lending, deposit, and treasury management solutions.
• Achieve annual loan production, deposit growth, and relationship development goals established in partnership with management.
• Interview prospective clients, gather information for loan and credit requests, and manage credit requests through the underwriting and loan process.
• Perform pre-qualification assessments and analyze financial condition, repayment capacity, and credit risk within established lending standards.
• Maintain consistent client contact through meetings and proactive outreach to strengthen relationships and address client needs.
• Represent the bank in community and Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) activities, partnering with management on market development strategies.
• Maintain accurate CRM records of pipeline activity, prospect development, and client interactions, and provide reporting to management.
• Ensure all decisions are consistent with bank policies and procedures, managing any identified risk appropriately.
• Ensure compliance with established security protocols, safeguarding customer deposits, bank assets, and confidential information.
• Deliver a consistently high standard of client service in all customer and employee interactions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of related experience in commercial banking, relationship management, lending, or business development, with a demonstrated record of developing and managing commercial relationships.
• Intermediate knowledge of state and federal banking compliance regulations and the bank’s products and services.
• Advanced knowledge of and training in lending and banking operations activities and terminology.
• Proven ability to develop and execute business development strategies that generate new customer relationships.
• Demonstrated ability to identify client needs and deliver comprehensive banking solutions across lending, deposit, and treasury management products.
• Advanced loan product knowledge.
• Ability to read and analyze financial statements and tax returns.
• Advanced organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Current driver’s license and a vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage, for roles that require driving.
